Several BCPS schools serve as polling locations and will be used for the upcoming proposed amendment special election on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. The School Board approved a revision to the academic calendar to designate this day as a teacher workday.

Imagination Library Celebration ~ April 18, 2026

Courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Botetourt, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library event is a celebration of literacy in Botetourt County! More than 1100 children have benefited from this collaborative partnership. Join us at Colonial Elementary School on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 9:00AM - 12:00PM for refreshments, games, reading time, and a presentation of certificates to those children who have 'graduated' from the program!
